Meeting the regulations of the Sudan Medical Council, and other international medical councils, and fulfilling the objectives and requirements of the course and of the faculty outcome, the contents were addressed in forms of lectures, Students’ Activities, and assignments.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course the student should:

-        understand the principles of medical ethics.

-        provide support and guidance to patients and relatives on ethical issues.

-        provide care for the dying patient and support to relatives.

-        understand research ethics and adhere to conventions at national, regional and international level.

-        respect and adhere to regulated relations between doctors and other health personnel.

-        adhere to ethical and professional behaviour in every day medical practice.

-        apply appropriate communication skills in patient care

rationalize allocation of limited resources.
