This course deals with the theoretical principles and practical methodologies associated with mine valuation.
Mine valuation is an integration of geology, mining, processing, mineral markets, and ESIA. As part of mine valuation process a range of issues has to be considered including, mine feasibility study, cost and cost estimation, investment analysis, evaluation of open pit and underground operations, and financial evaluation technique.

The specific objectives of this course are to:
1\ Give the students the general aspects of the art and mineral processing technology.
2\ Enable the students to understand the various processes which employed in beneficiation of ore minerals and fuel minerals.
3\ Make the students to judge between the different minerals processing flowsheets in order to be able to design a mineral flowsheet.
4\ Work effectively as part of team by conductivity theoretical lab. tests in group.
Course Description.
Different ore minerals, and their forms, oxides, sulphides, sulphates, carbonates, etc..
Preparation and treatment of ore minerals, the targets of treatment and beneficiation of ore minerals, separation of various minerals from each others found in complex ores, such as sulphides, dressing of the products of mines (ROM) in order to increase their grade to meet the market specifications. Improving the metals produced from the smelting and manufacturing plant (factories).
The student will be able to:
1\ understand all unit operations in any mineral preparation and concentration plant.
2\ understand comminution principals.
3\ analyze factors affecting on comminution.
4\ design crushing and milling circuits.
5\ understand classification and screening processes.
6\ describe the most important principles and functions of crushing and grinding
7\ perform experiments to optimize the comminution stages and the parameters affecting physical concentrating processes.
