First Semester

Drilling and blasting course enables students to master the rock breaking engineering. The course includes but is not limited to: Rock drilling, and their classification on the basic of drilling resistively, Principles of percussion drilling machines ,Rotary drilling machines , Rotary – percussion drilling of holes and borehole , Fundamentals of explosion and explosives ,Type of explosives , Blasting theory , Initiating systems, Design of bench blasting, Practical usage of explosives, Fragmentation principles and control of negative effects of blasting.
