الفصل الدراسي الخامس

هدف هذا المقرر إلى عرض قضايا القرابة والأسرة والنوع الاجتماعي ومناقشتها بحسبانها من أهم النظم التي تؤثر في شكل البناء الاجتماعي وفاعليته، خاصة في المجتمعات التقليدية، حيث يتطرق إلى أصولها التاريخية وأنماطها الشائعة في المجتمعات التقليدية والحديثة. ويتناول المقرر كذلك علاقة نظم القرابة، وخاصة نمط الانحدار الأبوي السائد في مجتمعاتنا الأفريقية والعربية ،وعلاقته بالنظم الاقتصادية والسياسية للمجتمع. كما يتطرق المقرر إلى التغيرات التي طرأت في الآونة الأخيرة على نظم القرابة وديناميات الزواج وتكوين الاسرة من خلال دراسة حالتين من المجتمعات كمثال على ذلك التغير.

 يدرس هذا المقرر و يمتحن باللغة الإنجليزية  و يتكون من 12 محاضرة بحيث تغطي كل محاضرة مفهوم جديد و تتناول ابعاده النظرية بصورة مبسطة. يهدف هذا المقرر في مجمله الى اكساب الطالب القدرة على فهم و استيعاب مواضيع موجودة مسبقا في الحياة اليومية كالقرابة و الاسرة و الزواج كمواضيع سوسيولوجية أساسية في دراسة و فهم المجتمع.

This course aims to present and discuss issues of kinship, family, and gender as some of the most important systems that influence the form and effectiveness of social structures, especially in traditional societies. It addresses their historical origins and common patterns in traditional and modern societies. The course also addresses also addresses the relationship between kinship systems, especially the patrilineal pattern prevalent in our African and Arab societies, and its relationship to the economic and political systems of society. The course also addresses recent changes in kinship systems, marriage dynamics, and family formation through the study of two communities as examples of such change.

 This course is taught and examined in English and consists of 12 lectures, each covering a new concept and addressing its theoretical dimensions in a simplified manner. Overall, this course aims to enable students to understand and comprehend topics that are already present in everyday life, such as kinship, family, and marriage, as fundamental sociological topics in the study and understanding of society.
