This course will introduce students to prestressed concrete industry, the behavior and design of prestressed structures and provide them with the background needed to analysis and design of various prestressed concrete members and bridge design. Course topics include an overview of prestressing technology, loss of prestress, analysis of prestressed members, flexural and shear behavior/design of prestressed members, and deflections.
