The course is designed primarily to support the learner's acquisition of linguistic and (inter)cultural skills in the French as a Foreign Language classroom. The aim of this translation course is to prepare the learner to :
Understand and define the concepts of translation ; become familiar with certain stylistic translation procedures ; Approach any general text, understand it, grasp its message, reformulate it in their own words before re-expressing it correctly in the target language ; Be able to carry out ad hoc terminology searches on the web and use electronic and paper dictionaries.
